At Gixel, we're pioneering state-of-the-art AR display technology. We're seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development of innovative actuator solutions integral to our cutting-edge optical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Actuator Development: Design and implement advanced actuator systems, ensuring seamless integration into our AR platforms.
- System Integration: Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to achieve cohesive system functionality.
- Control Systems: Develop and refine real-time control loops for precise actuator positioning.
- Sensor Integration: Select and integrate appropriate feedback sensors to meet stringent precision requirements.
- Prototyping & Testing: Lead rapid prototyping efforts, including mechanical adjustments and PCB modifications, to validate and optimize designs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in actuator design, control systems, or mechatronics.
- Embedded Systems Expertise: Proficient in developing control loops using languages such as C/C++.
- Sensor & Control Algorithms: Deep understanding of measurement systems and control algorithms.
- Mechatronics/Robotics Background: Experience in mechatronics or robotics, with a preference for familiarity with shape memory alloys.
- Prototyping Skills: Adept at rapid prototyping and experimental design to iterate and refine actuator solutions.
